Rogersville – Lauderdale County

Rogersville is a town in Lauderdale County, with a water-board office, Town Hall and public library at three different addresses. Keeping those destinations separate makes a move-in week easier. I would also separate an existing home’s account change from a proposed new connection: a Rogersville address or a visible water line is not an approval to serve a future project.

Where should I take a water-account question?

The Rogersville Water Works and Sewer Board’s own contact page lists its physical office at 852 County Road 77, Rogersville, AL 35652, with phone 256-247-5435. Published weekday hours are 8–11:30 a.m. and 12:30–4 p.m. The midday closure matters if you are fitting the visit into a lunch break.

The board describes water service to Rogersville and the surrounding area, but sewer service within the town limits. That broad description is not an address-level availability determination. Ask separately about water and sewer for the actual property, and identify whether you mean an account change, reconnection or new construction.

Before making plans for an undeveloped lot or additional building, get current confirmation of whether a connection can be approved and what work is required. A provider’s website, fee list or an existing connection next door does not establish capacity, an installation date or permission for your project. Keep the board’s answer with the property information rather than relying on a general description of the town.

Is the online payment login a new-service application?

No. The board’s payment page describes Pay N Seconds as a third-party bill-payment service. First-time registration requires the customer number from a utility billing statement; additional utility accounts can be added after the primary account is registered. Those instructions concern paying an account, not approving a new connection.

For a move, ask the office how the outgoing and incoming accounts should be handled before setting dates. For an existing bill, start from the board’s own payment page rather than a search advertisement or a similarly named Rogersville utility in another state. Keep account numbers and identity documents private when sharing moving information.

Which local office or library visit belongs on my calendar?

The town’s department directory lists the public library at 74 Bank Street, Rogersville, AL 35652, 256-247-0151. Its published weekly pattern is useful for planning:

Day Library hours listed by the town
Tuesday 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Thursday Noon–7 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Sunday and Monday Closed

Call the library to confirm holiday hours and what to bring for a card or the service you need. A town directory establishes a contact and listed hours, not every current borrowing policy or program opening. Thursday’s later start is worth checking before combining the visit with another morning errand.

For general town business, the municipal website gives 50 Wheeler Street, Rogersville, AL 35652 and 256-247-5446. That is not the water-board office or library. Describe the task when calling so you can confirm the right destination and any documents before leaving.

What if I want to host visitors at Joe Wheeler?

Use the Joe Wheeler pavilion and admission planning guide for that separate decision. It distinguishes the gathering-space reservation, guest admission and overnight accommodation, and explains why a lodge address is not automatically the entrance to your reserved pavilion. A Rogersville home does not come with park admission or a reserved gathering space.

The Lauderdale County guide connects the broader school and property-record questions. I can help organize a home shortlist around the routines you want, while the town, utility and district confirm the details for each address.
