Athens-Limestone County Public Library

Athens-Limestone County Public Library is a practical stop for reading, computer access and printing while getting settled in the area. Its published policies distinguish a library card, a guest pass for a library computer and Wi-Fi on your own device—three different ways to use its services.

Where is Athens-Limestone County Public Library, and when can I visit?

The map link searches the verified place name and street address. This page does not supply an independently checked entrance or parking pin.

Published hours reviewed October 30, 2026: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.; Sunday closed. Confirm holiday closures or a time-sensitive visit with the library; these are published hours, not a live open-now status.

Do I need an Athens-Limestone library card for borrowing, Wi-Fi or a computer?

A library card: the library publishes free card eligibility for Athens and Limestone County residents and a separate nonresident policy. Apply at the circulation desk with the identification and address documentation described on its card policy page. That page also explains the parent or guardian requirements for a minor’s card.

Your own device: public Wi-Fi needs no library card or guest pass; ask staff for the password.

A library computer: use a library card, or obtain a guest pass with government-issued photo ID. Do not assume the Wi-Fi rule also applies to a library computer.

Printing and other services: the official services page describes printing from library or personal devices and information about scanning, faxing and study rooms. Check current charges and arrangements there rather than treating this page as a booking or transaction service.

Make it part of getting to know Athens

Combine a useful library visit with the Athens city guide for other ordinary routines and moving tasks. For the wider area, use the Limestone County guide. A library address does not establish a home’s municipal jurisdiction or school eligibility.
