Crossville – DeKalb County

Crossville is a town in DeKalb County where household rubbish, cut limbs and a water-account change belong to different service routes. Getting those distinctions right can make a move-in week easier. I would plan the collection routine first, then confirm the actual water provider and the separate library stop rather than assume Town Hall handles every task.

Crossville: town boundary from the 2024 U.S. Census Bureau, with the same boundary highlighted in a Northern Alabama locator inset. North is up. Editorial area: Appalachian Foothills. Not a property or service-boundary map.

Do household rubbish and limbs go out on the same day?

No. The town’s department directory lists Friday household collection through Republic Services, with carts put out Thursday night and rubbish bagged. It gives 256-878-6821 for that provider. The street department’s limb collection is listed for Wednesdays, with limbs no longer than five feet and not beneath power lines.

Treat a move-out pile as a sorting task, not one interchangeable load. Confirm acceptance before putting furniture, renovation debris or other unusual material beside the cart. The town describes two free unwanted-item collections, in spring and fall, but does not give a current date; ask the street department at 256-528-7121, extension 9, before relying on one.

Which office should I contact about a water account?

The Crossville Water Board website lists its office at 14454 Alabama Highway 68, Crossville, AL 35962, 256-528-7163. Confirm that the board actually serves the property before arranging an account change; the town name on an address is not a service guarantee.

The board offers mailed or emailed bills, including both, and directs email-billing requests to lcole@crossvillewater.com. It lists debit/credit cards and bank draft, a phone-payment number of 1-833-591-7309, and an online-payment link on its own website. Start from that provider page rather than an unrelated search advertisement.

Changing bill delivery and establishing new service are different requests. Ask which documents, account details and timing apply to your move; an online payment does not establish eligibility, transfer an account or authorize a new connection. If you choose email delivery, confirm the address and watch for the first bill instead of assuming the change took effect immediately.

Task Route and limit
Regular household rubbish Republic Services; confirm holiday changes or missed collection
Cut limbs or the seasonal unwanted-item pickup Street department; confirm material limits and the actual collection date
Water billing or a proposed account change First verify the property’s provider, then contact that provider directly
A document or computer task Library; check equipment availability, charges and closing time

Can I fit a library errand into Saturday morning?

The town directory lists Crossville Public Library at 12 Library Lane, Crossville, AL 35962, 256-528-2628. Published hours are Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–1 p.m. It describes computers, printing, copying and faxing.

Saturday gives a different window from the shorter Friday afternoon, but an opening time is not a reserved terminal or a promise that a particular document can be processed. Call about current service availability and charges if the task is time-sensitive, and leave enough time before closing.

Where is Town Hall when the question is municipal rather than a utility bill?

The town homepage lists Town Hall at 14521 Alabama Highway 68, Crossville, AL 35962, 256-528-7121, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. That address is not the Water Board office or the library.

Use the DeKalb County guide for the wider property-record and school-system questions alongside these daily routines. I can help compare homes around your priorities while the town, library and providers confirm the details for your particular plan.
