Addison – Winston County

Addison is a town in Winston County. A useful moving plan here begins with ordinary arrangements: which office to call, whether you are applying for water service or paying an existing bill, and which forms fit your situation. I would settle those questions for the actual home before treating a familiar town name or an existing meter as a completed service setup.

Addison: town boundary from the 2024 U.S. Census Bureau, with the same boundary highlighted in a Northern Alabama locator inset. North is up. Editorial area: Central Corridor. Not a property or service-boundary map.

Where should I start an Addison town or water-service question?

The Town of Addison contact page gives the office at 30793 Highway 278, Addison, AL 35540, 256-747-2971. Published office hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Call before a special trip to confirm closures and the documents needed for your particular request.

Use the street address for a visit rather than the town’s separate post-office box. The town’s own contact number is the route used here; some general directories show a different number. For a water problem outside office hours, the same official page lists 205-627-1884 as the water emergency/after-hours contact. That is a different purpose from routine account setup.

Am I starting service, changing an account or paying a bill?

The Addison Water Works page separates service paperwork from online payment. Start by asking whether the home is served, what already exists and which application process applies. The page’s water-and-sewer heading is not proof that both services are available at every Addison address.

Your task Published starting route Question to settle
Applying for service New-service application, plus separate owner or renter agreement links. Which current forms and documents apply to this address and your situation?
Paying an existing water bill The Addison Water Works payment link on the town’s bill-payment page. Are you using the correct provider and existing account?
Making another town payment A separate Town of Addison payment link. Which payment category and reference does the town require?

The service page labels the owner and renter agreements as updated March 10, 2022, and its rate sheet as updated November 1, 2023. Those are the documents linked when reviewed, not a fresh price quote or assurance that no later requirement exists. Ask the office to confirm the current application, charges and start date. A seller’s bill can help identify a provider, but it does not transfer the account or establish a new connection.

The official payment instructions route payments through Pay N Seconds and say first-time users create an account. Choose the water or town route deliberately. Online payment availability is not an application approval.

What if my plans include work at the property?

Give the town the address and a plain description of the proposed work before budgeting around an assumption. The town publishes a Before You Dig page directing people to Alabama’s utility-location service at 811. Use that route to obtain the current notice and marking instructions before excavation; a utility locate does not replace a permit, boundary survey or approval for the intended project.

If the plan includes operating a business, the town forms page distinguishes a business-license application, renewal form and fee schedule. Ask which process applies rather than submit a renewal for a new activity. A business-license form also does not answer whether the proposed activity is allowed at a particular residential property.

Keep the home’s service plan separate from the wider outing

Being interested in the Bankhead or Smith Lake area does not establish an entrance, a public route or access attached to a home. The Winston County guide links the detailed forest-access and campsite-planning journeys, along with property-record and school contacts. Use those for the wider area while keeping each home’s service and project questions in its own file.

Through the relocation planning guide, I can help organize the confirmed dates and unresolved items around your move. Keep personal identifiers and account documents out of an initial real-estate inquiry; use the provider’s confirmed channel for service paperwork.
