If a Duotech opportunity has you considering Huntsville, start with two separate facts: the company has opened a local facility, and a particular job still needs its own reporting and moving terms. Here is what the employer has published, plus the housing decisions that can sensibly follow.
The opening is confirmed; 50 jobs is an expansion forecast
Duotech’s August 10, 2026 announcement says the Huntsville ribbon-cutting took place on August 6. The company describes a $4 million, 25,000-square-foot defense-electronics sustainment facility and an expected 50 new jobs. Its work includes testing, repair and remanufacturing, with support for missile and missile-defense programs. The jobs figure is a forecast, not a count of positions available to apply for today.
Use the Huntsville address, not the Franklin headquarters
The employer’s contact page lists its Huntsville location at 475 Quality Circle, Suite 150, Huntsville, AL 35806, with phone 256-224-9001. It separately lists the Franklin, North Carolina office. The Huntsville address gives you a real local reference point, but it does not establish the reporting location or entrance for every employee.
Duotech’s location overview places the Huntsville operation in Research Park and describes support for organizations on Redstone Arsenal. Supporting an Arsenal program does not by itself make the employee’s commute a trip through an Arsenal gate. Use the reporting address in the specific offer before testing routes.
Where to look for the actual opportunity
Start at Duotech’s official careers page. It invites applicants to explore opportunities, but the public page checked for this update did not establish a current Huntsville vacancy list, individual shifts, remote-work arrangements or relocation benefits. Older job-board listings and the 50-job announcement should not be treated as proof that a role remains open.
For a role you are actively discussing, obtain the job description and written offer terms from the hiring team: normal worksite, required on-site schedule, start date and any move assistance or repayment conditions. Nothing in the opening announcement establishes a general transfer from Franklin or a household’s entitlement to relocation assistance.
Make the home search follow the confirmed role
Once the reporting point and schedule are known, use my Huntsville-area commute guide to compare actual home addresses in both directions at the relevant times. Include regular school, care or second-worksite stops. A broad Huntsville map search cannot establish that weekly trip.
If the offer includes moving support, my relocation-package guide explains why private employer terms need to be read separately from federal or military allowances. Keep the offer, reporting date and housing commitment in the same plan; an interview or projected opening is not a purchase deadline.
Final Thoughts
The August opening and the employer-listed Quality Circle address make this a specific Huntsville expansion, not just a regional jobs headline. Use those facts to orient your search, then let the actual offer determine the commute, timing and moving budget.
